Create Hatches

NOTE: You can create hatches only from closed shapes.

NOTE: You must combine connected shapes before you can use them to create a hatch. Refer to Combine Shapes.

Click the shape on the canvas or you can select the shape in the Project pane to select the shapes that you want to hatch.
On the Home tab, in the Modify group, click Hatch.

Specify the properties that are necessary to create the hatch. The properties that you must specify show in the Properties pane. The status bar shows instructions to configure the properties.
- Exclude holes — Specifies if holes in shapes are excluded when the hatch is created.
- Exclude overlap — Specifies if overlap between shapes are excluded when the hatch is created.
- Hatch style — Specifies that hatch style to use to create the hatch. Refer to Types of Hatch Styles.

You can cancel the operation by pressing Esc or by clicking the Cancel button in the Properties pane.
Click the Finish button in the Properties pane or press Enter to complete the hatch.
